How to check is by clipping or pinching the skin for 30-60 seconds, then release. If still in good condition of skin turgor, the skin will quickly return to its original state. In addition, children who become dehydrated, their eyes would look sunken, mouth and tongue were dry.
Aid measures :
In certain conditions, diarrhea can be fatal. Immediately to the doctor when the baby’s stomach ache continually lasted for six hours or more, accompanied by vomiting, refusing to drink, the eyes appear sunken, dizziness, and weight loss. In order not to happen dehydration, try to keep your child drink (milk or other liquid). If your child is older, give ORS solution. Usually toddlers need about three packs of ORS that is mixed into the 200 cc of water.
How do I prevent it?
In order not to get diarrhea, it’s good we always maintain the cleanliness of the baby food, as well as cutlery. In toddlers, make sure the food consumed is clean and healthy, and drink water that has been cooked or boiled. Avoid eating foods that are not guaranteed clean.
