Munarni Sugito (70 years) als0 said same thing. He suffered from severe diabetes. “It’s really useful, the movement was not stomping, making it suitable for older people like me,” he said.

At least there are two separate research which indicates that Tai Chi can boost the immune system and can lower sugar levels of diabetics. Those two studies were conducted by scientists from Taiwan and Australia, and the result been published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine.

The first research conducted in Taiwan, 30 people with diabetes and 30 healthy people, for 12 weeks studying 37 Tai Chi movements under the direction of a Tai Chi master. The participants also were given a video cassette in order to repeat at home. They regularly follow the Tai Chi for 3 hours in a week. And the result after this research is completed, people with diabetes showed a drastic decrease in sugar content and increase in the cells and compounds which are the key to immune response.

The second research conducted in Australia, and initiated by the University of Queensland. 11 participants also showed similar results, people with diabetes are required to attend Tai Chi for 60-90 minutes 3 times a week. Besides showed a drastic decrease in sugar content, the participants also loss their overweight and significant decrease in blood pressure. Insulin resistance is also improved, the participants also able to sleep well and have great energy. The body becomes less painful and very rarely hungry when doing Tai Chi.

When you perform a physical examination or clinical examination to the doctor, there is usually a special tool used by the doctor to check blood pressure. Tool to check the blood pressure is also known as sphygmomanometer or blood pressure monitor. There are digital and there is also mercury Manometer that is still commonly used for clinical examinations.

The doctor will perform blood pressure checks by having you sit or lie down, because it was the best position to measure blood pressure. Then the doctor will usually be binding on the air bag on his right arm on the arm unless there are injuries. After that, blood pressure measurement. The difference between systolic and diastolic pressure is called pulse pressure.

When checking blood pressure, there are two numbers that are usually referred to as 120/80. What are these numbers?

Systolic
The first number (120), ie systolic blood pressure, the pressure when the heart beats or beats (systole). Often called the pressure on

Diastolic
The second number (80) is diastolic blood pressure, the pressure when the heart is resting between when pumping. Often referred to under the pressure.

Once you know your blood pressure, you definitely want to know whether your blood pressure low, normal or high.

High blood pressure is a silent killer disease. Most people who have high blood pressure do not know that he has it. Of the fifty million Americans with high blood pressure, only about thirty million who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. The rest probably will never know until they go to the doctor for other matters such as insurance, stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, and others that are not caused by high blood pressure.

If your diastolic blood pressure went from 70 one day to 105 the next, you’d immediately get symptoms. But blood pressure usually creeps up slowly, often over many years, and your body adjusts to the gradual change. You feel “normal” until that day your doctor or the nurse says, “Your blood pressure’s too high!” However, you may experience the following symptoms, which can be early warning signs of high blood pressure :

Headaches, especially in the morning

Ringing in the ears

Unexplained dizziness

Depression without apparent cause

Blurred vision

Tension when there is no cause

Flushing of the face

Fainting spells
