Scientists confirm that coffee and aspirin are the most efficacious combination to overcome a headache after drinking. For years, coffee and aspirin are the main choice of those who are too much drinking alcohol.
Apparently it is not without reason. According to scientists, as well as caffeine in coffee is anti-inflammatory substances found in aspirin and other painkillers issued a reaction to counter chemical compounds on ethanol or pure alcohol, as reported by the Telegraph, Tuesday (1/18/2011).
Professor Michael Oshinsky of Thomas Jefferson University has been experimenting with injecting a number of ethanol in mice, to cause headaches.
After that, Oshinsky provides a dose of caffeine and anti-inflammatory agents to the mice. From the experiment was to find a combination of both successful Oshinsky binding acetate from ethanol and relieve headaches.
Addition, the mice did not become dehydrated. This is at once dispelled the argument that coffee can not be used as a drug because it causes dehydration hangover.
