<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;<em>The American Journal of Epidemiology</em>&#8221; states, every single man has a death risk 32 percent higher than those who married. That means, they are likely to die 8-17 years earlier than men who are married. Women who are single, maybe a little more fortunate. They have 23%  life expectancy, or 7-15 years lower than those who have had spouses.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This data is based on 90 studies conducted on 500 million people over the last 60 years by researchers from the University of Louisville.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Young single people who have a risk of premature death is much higher. The risk of death for those who are single and aged 30-39 years by 128 per cent higher than those who are married at same age range. On the other hand, single people who are aged 70 years have an increased risk of death only 16 percent higher. Perhaps this is because they have &#8220;successfully&#8221; through the single at young age.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Why marital status has a dramatic effect on longevity?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>David Roelfs</strong>, an assistant professor of sociology <em>University of Louisville</em> to explain, it is associated with reduced health benefits, wages, and public assistance from the government. &#8220;Single women are now becoming more marginalized economically and health than previous years and that is how they have a higher risk of health problems and premature death.&#8221;</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">Eating vegetables and fruits such as carrots and plums are believed to make someone more attractive, according to a recent study in the UK.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Researchers at <em>St Andrews and Bristol University</em> investigate the relationship between skin color with one&#8217;s attractiveness, and found that those with yellow skin color is a healthy and interesting people.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The researchers were also the first time found that the yellow pigments, or carotenoids, are derived from fruits and vegetables have an important role in producing the yellow color of the skin.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Ian Stephen</strong>, said the relationship between carotenoids in yellow and open new strategies to encourage young people to eat more fruits and vegetables.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">He told, that one of the many benefits of eating fruits and vegetables is to prevent heart disease at the age of 40. The result of the increased consumption of fruits and vegetables will be visible in the next months ahead.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Mammography </strong>is one important step to know early whether a woman developing<strong> breast cancer</strong> or not. However, many women are reluctant to undergo this procedure for various reasons. According to a recent study, pain, shame and too busy, are some of the main reasons why women avoid mammography. In that study, researchers analyzed medical information, physical and demographic from 4708 women at <em>Kaiser Permanente</em> in Oregon and Washington who choose to undergo mammography examinations for more than 20 months since their last procedure, and they were notified by postcard and telephone that the examination ends soon .<span id="more-2677"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Studies of women aged 50-69 years found that factors related with mammography avoidance are those aged less than 60 years, have annual incomes less than $ 40,000, obese and who already have health insurance for less than five years. A study of 340 women explain why they do not undergo mammography. The main reason is that the examination was causing the pain, they are too busy and they feel ashamed to do the test. Obese women were more likely than women who are not obese to say their pain is a factor to avoid mammography (31% versus 19%).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">&#8220;We do not know why obese women reported more pain when undergoing mammography,&#8221; said lead researcher, <strong>Dr. Adrianne Feldstein</strong>, senior researcher at the <em>Kaiser Permanente Center for Health Research</em>. &#8220;Our previous research, show obesity may be associated with a lower pain. Nearly half of women in our study were obese, and obese women are more likely to have breast cancer, so we need to find better ways to ensure that women are examined,&#8221; he added. Feldstein and his colleagues also found that women under 60 years are more likely than those aged over 60 years to say that they are too busy to undergo mammography (19% versus 6%)</p>
<p>&#8220;By providing more flexible opportunity for tests and examination appointments after rush hours, it is expected can help increase the number of young women to undergo this procedure,&#8221; the researchers said. This study is published in the Journal of Women&#8217;s Health. One in eight American women will develop breast cancer during their lifetimes.</p>
