<div>We often hear of prohibited foods for pregnant women. Some say, the food can affect infant health. Some are said its can cause miscarriage. Indeed, not all information is correct. Not few who claim this prohibition as a myth. However, many prohibition that have been medically tested. American Pregnancy Association (APA) said nine of food should not be consumed during pregnancy.&nbsp;</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Meat or raw fish.</strong> Meat or fish which are eaten without cooking first are very risky contain harmful bacteria like salmonella and toxoplasma.</li>
<li><strong>Fish that contain mercury. </strong>It is not easy to distinguish between fish with high mercury content and not. However,you should avoid canned foods.</li>
<li><strong>Raw or half-cooked eggs.</strong> It is not advisable to consume raw or half-cooked eggs. Salmonella bacteria usually live there, and very dangerous for the womb.</li>
<li><strong>Sauce from raw eggs.</strong> Because raw or half-cooked eggs become prohibited, then the salad dressings, mayonnaise, homemade ice cream, custard, or cream cakes should be avoided. Eliminate any food menus containing raw eggs from your diet.</li>
<li><strong>Soft Cheese.</strong> Imported cheeses should also be avoided because it is suspected that the imported cheeses contain bacteria called Listeria. This bacterium is dangerous because it can cause bleeding, until miscarriage.</li>
<li><strong>Non-pasteurized milk. </strong>Non-pasteurized milk are also suspected carry the Listeria bacteria.</li>
<li><strong>Caffeine. </strong>Several studies may allow pregnant women to consume caffeine. However, according to the APA study found that caffeine is very influential on miscarriage. These diseases including cancer, heart attacks, hypertension, autoimmune diseases, diabetes, depression, arthritis and osteoporosis. A study conducted by <strong>Giovannucci</strong> and his colleagues said, men with low vitamin D levels have ratio of 2.42 times more likely to have heart attack.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">According to Phaidon, vitamin D can also prevent cancer. A research conducted by <strong>Holick</strong> and his colleagues found that women who lack vitamin D, will have increased risk of colon cancer by 25.3%. Vitamin D can also prevent stroke. Increased levels of vitamin D may increase the risk of stroke by 86% (means that the levels of vitamin D in the blood). Normal levels are about 30-50 ng / ml.
