Arise Health Plan is a quality and service oriented health plan, combined with a parent company that possesses technological and financial stability. Arise Health Plan was built on the principal of ‘the dawn of a new day in health coverage’ combining all of these strengths. From our sunrise branding, unmatched local service to our tag line of ‘We care for Wisconsin’ Arise Health Plan encompasses all the facets clients demand in health coverage.

Wellness: A cornerstone of Arise Health Plan is our strong wellness coverage. All of our fully insured plans offer 100% wellness coverage. No maximums, no deductibles and no co pays for annual routine wellness services when done at a participating provider. We firmly believe members should utilize a primary care provider as a gatekeeper for their care. This allows our members to establish a relationship with a medical professional and together they can map out a treatment plan for routine and advanced care.

Quality: Arise Health Plan has been rated “Excellent” by the National Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA). We must continually show improvement in the areas of quality, technology, HEDIS, and member satisfaction. To receive this honor multiple times and rank in the top tier of health plans nationwide as measured by US News and World Report is a feather in the Arise Health Plan cap.

We Care For Wisconsin: This is not only a tag line but a philosophy we live by at Arise Health Plan. From doing the right thing when it comes to our members health coverage to our Community Connection volunteer and charitable giving program we live this every day.

The European Health Insurance Card (or EHIC) allows anyone who is insured by or covered by a statutory social security scheme of the EEA countries and Switzerland to receive medical treatment in another member state for free or at a reduced cost, if that treatment becomes necessary during their visit (for example, due to illness or an accident), or if they have a chronic pre-existing condition which requires care such as kidney dialysis.

The intention of the scheme is to allow people to continue their stay in a country without having to return home for medical care; as such, it does not cover people who have visited a country for the purpose of obtaining medical care, nor does it cover care, such as many types of dental treatment, which can be delayed until the visitor returns home.

It only covers healthcare which is normally covered by a statutory health care system in the visited country, so it does not render travel insurance obsolete.

The card was phased in from 1 June 2004 and throughout 2005, becoming the sole healthcare entitlement document on 1 January 2006. The card is applicable in all French dependencies (DOM) as they are part of the EEA, but not all other self-governing territories such as Jersey or Aruba which are not.

It replaced the following medical forms:

E110 – For international road hauliers

E111 – For tourists

E119 – For unemployed/job seekers

E128 – For students and workers in another member state.

Applications for EHIC are free, through the NHSBSA/EHIC website.

Now there are many types of insurance companies that stand. One of them health insurance. In American there are many insurance companies today. This month there are millions of Americans who will follow the insurance. Because many insurance companies, then you should find one that best meets your needs without devastating your paycheck. These 10 tips will help you focus.

Weigh flexibility. The three main types of health plans differ in members’ degree of personal choice in selecting caregivers. Someone with diabetes or another chronic condition may want a point-of-service (POS) plan or preferred provider organization (PPO), which offer unrestricted access to specialists. An HMO, which limits members to physicians in a defined network, might provide enough choice and protection for someone young and healthy.

Check the provider network. If physicians you use are not in the plan, switching to others will be a hassle—and if you chose them for their specific expertise, your health might even be affected.

Consider coupling catastrophic care with a special fund. You can cover the high deductibles in a catastrophic-care plan from a health reimbursement arrangement (HRA) set up and funded by your employer. Otherwise, you can pay the deductible from a tax-deductible health savings account you set up yourself.

Monitor the maximums. Most plans specify the out-of-pocket total, often thousands of dollars, that members must pay before full coverage kicks in. But employees in 20 percent of health plans are never fully covered, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation’s 2008 Employer Health Benefits Survey. And copays usually don’t count toward the maximum.

Check for caps. Many plans impose annual limits—on coverage for medications, for example, or the number of visits for physical therapy following an injury. A 2008 report by the Commonwealth Fund found that one fourth of insured adults face steep bills because of coverage limitations.

Review your medications. A brand-name drug for a chronic condition can be costly. The plan’s list of medications, or formulary, will show your copay.

Get meds by mail. Many plans offer this convenient option, which often includes lower copays.

Cut expenses with a tax-deductible FSA. Like HRAs, flexible savings accounts are set up by employers, but unlike HRAs, they are employee funded. Contributions are subtracted from pretax income.

Check out wellness management incentives. Many plans offer discounts if you take a health risk assessment, stop smoking, or keep your diabetes under control.

Use comparison tools. Ninety percent of employers provide online cost estimators for comparing plans, but only 9 percent of employees use them, says benefits consultant Hewitt Associates.
